Recipe and pictures by Amy Masengale. Cooking appliance used: slow cooker. Ok. I struggle with deer steaks. They're always so tough but I wanted meat & I thought I would try something new. Y'all gave me the ideas!
I took two packs (4 large deer steaks) & tossed them in the crockpot with the whole bottle of marinade. No I did not marinate before hand. Cooked until they fell apart and my belly was aching for a bite it smelled SO good! Then because it's easier and I have kids, I cut them up into bite sized pieces, and covered with most of the sauce from the crockpot in a different container. Easier to fix leftovers that way too, just scoop and heat...no more cutting.
